# Free budget server with larger plans

## What this is about

If you have a larger **Vintage Story** or **Minecraft** server (**12 GB of memory
or more**), you can claim a **free Budget Series server** of the same game, for
example a creative world, a test server, or a second community.

## Claiming it

1. Go to **Services** and open your premium server.
2. Click **Claim Free Budget Server**.
3. Choose its options, then click **Claim free server**.

It's set up straight away and costs **$0.00 while your premium service is
active**. Both service pages show which servers are linked: *"Free server: …"*
and *"Free with: …"*.

## How it's linked to your premium server

The free server follows your premium one:

| is **suspended** (unpaid) | is suspended too |
| is resized | is resized to match |
| **drops below 12 GB** (e.g. after a downgrade) | is **suspended**, but nothing is deleted |
| is **cancelled** | is **cancelled and its data deleted** |
| changes game | stays on its original game |

<p class="callout warning"><strong>Cancelling your premium server also deletes your free server</strong> and everything on it. Download anything you want to keep first.</p>

- You get **one** free server per premium service.
- The free server can't be upgraded or change game, because it always mirrors your premium plan.
- Don't need it any more? Cancel it like any other service. You can claim it again later.
